BBN College is a co-educational college in the village of Chakmoh, Dist. Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, India. It was established in 1984 and is managed by the Trust Baba Balak Nath Temple Deotsidh. In 1987, the Himachal Pradesh government took over the Management of Baba Balak Nath Temple Deotsidh, including the Management of Baba Balak Nath College, Chakmoh, under the Act”The H.P. Hindu Public Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1984″. The college is being run by Trust, the Commissioner of which is the Deputy Commissioner, Hamirpur, and a Managing Committee,the Chairman of which is the Sub-Divisional Officer (C), Barsar, at Mehre, Dist. Hamirpur (H.P.). The college is affiliated with H.P. University, Summer Hill, Shimla-5 and also covered under sections 2 (f) and 12 (B) of the U.G.C. Act-1954.
It possesses a sprawling campus and is surrounded by lush green fields. The scenic setting provides an ideal atmosphere for pursuing higher studies. The college overlooks the snowy peaks of the inner Himalayas, the wooded hillslopes, and deep myriad–hued ravines all at one glance. Bathed in a salubrious climate and bright sun, the institution is an ideal place for the education of children and their overall development. PREMISES
The College has a sprawling campus extending over forty-seven canals of land in village Chakmoh of district Hamirpur. It is situated in very healthy and congenial surroundings and its beauty is enhanced further by thick and tall pine trees .The friendly and enriching surroundings incorporate Administrative Block, Arts Block, Science Block, Library Hall, Examination Hall, a welldeveloped sports ground and separate rooms for support services. The College has five laboratories, viz. Physics laboratory, Chemistry laboratory, Botany laboratory, Zoology laboratory and Computer laboratory with complete networking, battery backup and Server facilities.
